Excellent post.
The collector, especially the new ones, should realize that chip collecting is not isolated from the outside world and human nature (greed) sometimes enters into the picture especially when a fast buck can be made off of an unsuspecting buyer. I have been collecting for about 5 years and most of the people I met are great people. I am lucky to say that every electronic trade I made went well.

The purpose of the boards is to help us enjoy the hobby and bring the problems to light. For the most part it has done that.
