Carl: To respond directly to your question, which I think has been lost in the nonetheless interesting thread, I think the practice is reprehensible and that you should post the name of the undercutter on this board. I have once or twice sent a post to a successfull bidder of a "lot" of chips congratulating him and asking if he would be interested in selling one of them to me, and if so, at what price. But to suggest to a bidder during the bidding that one has the same chip at a lesser price is unethical. It violates eBay rules and they should be notified. The person should be given one warning and then on a second violation, have his/her password canceled.
I hope the practice you have described can be stopped.
