After reading several repsponses, it seems that everyone is focusing on the high bidder trying to back out. What about the unethical interference in a contract between buyer and seller? In my opinion, vultures who circle around e-bay looking for high bids to undercut are slime-balls. They are too cheap to pay e-bay their legitimate charges for generating the market or too afraid to put their own chips up for fear of not getting a good bid. What ever happened to honesty and fair play?? Is an extra dollar or two on a chip worth creating enmity among fellow chippers? I doubt anyone can justify this practice as ethical but if the perpetrator would like to try, I could use a laugh.
