Don is correct that this chip is from a California Card Club in Gardena. It closed circa 1996. Larry Flint purchased the land and building where the Eldorado Club once was operating. He is trying to get licensed for ownership/operating of a Card Club, and is planning to build a new card club where the Eldorado Club was.

As for the chips, the "last rack", which this is one of, was "given" to a Fraternal Order... So I would say that the $8 - $12 price in Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room chips & Checks may be indeed a bit on he high side...
