Hi Jim,

A revision to the requirements for a Chapter do not require an amendment to the Constitution. Chapter requirements are included in the CC & GTCC Bylaws, which can be added to, subtracted from or altered by the Board of Directors as they see fit (as I read the Constitution regarding this power).

I've been critical of people who try to try to circumvent (sp?) the rules of the club. They are there for a reason, and if they need to be changed, the proper proceedures need to be followed.

Our Chapter president had the impression that the issue of Club membership being tied to Chapter membership had been resolved in favor of the Colorado Chapter's desire to change the Bylaws concerning Chapter requirements at last year's Club Business meeting. I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened nor what was said. In a nutshell, from what I know, we were working within the new rules, then the rules changed back.

I will be in attendance at this year's Club Business meeting, and it will be discussed again!
