Janice, I believe that the explosion of limited edition chips is a major reason that some people do not stay with the hobby. That seems to be the primary
reason I've heard from people who have offered their collections up for sale.
When the first few LE's came out, people would try to obtain them, thought
they were "cute". But then as the volcano of LE's continued, many of those
same people became frustrated or disgusted, as they wanted to try to keep up with all new chips, but simply could not afford it.
