A few more comments on this subject:
In the latest club directory the last number assigned is 3914. Standing at 2,000
active membersthere have been 1900 drop outs in 10 years.
In checking for 10 year membership this year I find of the first 100 members
there are 52 still active.
In my opinion for a very specialized collectible we have done quite well in
10 years.
Do we have to work harder to attract new collectors,OF Course. BUT another
thing to look at is what can possibly be done to lower the drop out rate.
