There have been many valid and interesting points made on this subject, by Greg, John Yee, Steve(007)Brock, etc.
But your idea, Travis, of a page in the CC>CC quarterly magazine to advertise the internet locations such as this board and Chequers, plus Prodigy as well,
just might help draw more collectors to those locations.
We "veterans" on Prodigy did this same thing about 3 years ago. We had a full page in the magazine to promote Prodigy, and collectors on Compuserve in those days ran ads also. As I recall, some of us donated a chip or chips for an auction, with the auction income being used to cover the expenses of the ad.
I believe it was Steve Piccolo who spearheaded the efforts, solicited help to
design the layout of the ad, etc. Was it worth it, or did it bring new people to Prodigy? I don't know for sure, but these days far more people own computers and have internet access, so it might be worth the efforts.
