THE NEVADA STATE PRISON WAS THE ONLY PRISON IN THE COUNTRY THAT NOT ONLY HAD A LEGALLY APPROVED CASINO INSIDE OF THE PRISON BUT ALSO HAD THEIR OWN TOKENS THAT WERE USED ON THE TABLE GAMES. FROM 1931 UNTIL 1967 THE "BULLHOUSE" AT THE PRISON IN CARSON CITY, HAD INMATE OPERATED TABLE GAMES. SO FAR, WE HAVE DISCOVERED 44 DIFFERENT VARITIES OF THESE TOKENS IN BOTH HEXAGON AND ROUND SHAPE IN VALUES OF 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c, $1.00, AND $5.00 . THESE TOKENS WERE BRASS AND SAY "NSP" OR "NEVADA STATE PRISON" ON ONE SIDE AND THE VALUE ON THE OTHER. I THOUGHT EVERY TOKEN COLLECTOR HAD SOME OF THESE IN THEIR COLLECTIONS.
