The bi-monthly meeting of the Atlantic City chapter was held today at the Showboat Hotel-Casino in Atlantic City. A nice size group was in attendance.
As usual, the day began near noon with about a two hour period of chip
trading and dealing.
Many chips found themselves a new home.
David Sarles, running for CC>CC President in 1999, joined us from
Buffalo, New York. Dave spoke for a while of his thoughts for the CC>CC if he happens to be elected next year, and then Dave took questions from the
floor for about a half hour.
Barry Weintraub of California, running for club Secretary, was also in attendance, as was Nate Pincus, who will be running for Treasurer.
Next on the agenda was the auction of some 25 lots, with our auctioneer Bruce Landau doing his usual outstanding job.
After that, the group returned to more chip trading.
Chapter President Dick Brach announced a tentative date of Sun.Nov.15 for
the next meeting, and advised that the guest speaker would be Neal Silverman, to speak on the subject of cyberchipping on the Internet.
