The Ontario Canada government announced on Sept. 15, 1998 that Casino Niagara will be taken over by the Hyatt within 45 days. It further announced that the Hyatt properties has been chosen by the Ontario Government to build and run a NEW casino in Niagara Falls, approx. 2 miles from the current casino.
