Dear Larry -- the header on your message is an eye catcher! How popular would chips with Mickey, Donald, etc., on them be??!!
I have in my collection a remnant from my coing collecting days (and which I no longer remember exactly how/where I got it) an aluminum coin/token from Knott's Berry Farm (an amusement park down the road a pace from Disneyland, for the non-Californians out there). On one side it says: "Knott's Berry Farm -- the Palms Casino". The reverse has a Liberty Bell with the dates 1976-1996 and the inscription, "United States of America Bicentennial". One of the attractions at Knott's Berry Farm is a replica of Philadelphia's Independence Hall. Walter Knott, founder of the place, was very patriotic (and very conservative).
I don't remember there being a "casino" at Knott's and can't imagine that there was ever real gambling. I don't remember getting this token there, though I visited many times during the 20 years I lived in Southern California.
Anyone know anything about this token? ----- jim o\-S
