One comment about the detailed list of scanning steps, Travis. You are not really using Adobe software to do the scanning, you are using the Hewlett Packard scan software FROM WITHIN Adobe.

The description of the steps in your post is for the new HP software, shipped within the last year.

If someone has older software (such as that supplied with the HP ScanJet 5p, as I do) the steps are somewhat different.

Not a problem, as most new users will have the newer software; just wanted to clarify in case someone is having trouble finding the messages and boxes referred to in the post.
