I used the link you provided for the AOL Instant Messenger to go there and read the Q & A section.
Your posting appeared to indicate that this software would allow chat rooms to include anyone from the Internet just as long as the host had them on a buddy
list.

Yet, in reading the Q & A, and maybe I am misunderstanding it, it seems to
indicate that all users must have the AOL Instant Messenger software installed.
And, wouldn't that also mean that all must be AOL users too ?

If those particulars are true, then it sounds like it has limited use just like our
Prodigy chat is limited to Prodigy users.
