Jim, or anyone else having AOL.......
There is a free program named "Stay On" which is available for downloading to your system. I have had it for about 3 years, and unfortunately I cannot recall
whether it was downloaded from an AOL file library, or from somewhere on the Internet.
But, when installed, it "kills" those AOL questions about your activity, and if
you want to remain online, etc. It gives you an icon on your desktop, so you
simply click the icon to start "Stay On". It gives you 4 or 5 free kills, which can be over a few hours, and then you could always restart it over again. (that's the free usage part.) Or, you can pay the program creator a $5. registration fee and have unlimited kills forever.
So, if you were on AOL and left the computer for a few minutes, "Stay On" would assure that you stayed on.
Its especially valuable for times when you might minimize AOL, such as if you
were using MSIE with AOL minimized, at which times that AOL question to you
about remaining online would be hidden from view.
If anyone's interested, I can give you the person's name and address for the $5. fee to receive the full registered version, as I have found it in the directory on my computer.
