Of course I read every post. I am afraid I don't have the answer. Might make a good guess if I could see them and tell if they were plastic or clay.

The sample mold story does not ring true to me. The hotel gives the manfacturer the art work for Logos. Unless this was the Hilton Logo at the time, the theory is doubtful. The logo is very plain, I have never seen it on anything with the Hilton name.
