Gene,
No - fast asleep.<g> Don't care much for same day auctions, no time to check the pieces out. Actually, don't really care for auctions in general.
An exception, I use to enjoy the Prodigy auctions. I would put chips into the auction and actually write up a page or two history for each chip I submitted. Individuals would have 4 or 5 days to think about the chip. A few individuals criticised what I had done. Thought I should not put the write ups on the BB. I guess they were just jealous they didn't have enough knowledge to do their own write ups. A large discussion followed - and I just decided it was not worth the aggravation. So I stopped doing anything for the auctions - even attending.
Too bad though - I had a few great chips that generated the largest sums ever spent on a Prodigy chip auction. $5.00 Matty's, 25 cent maroon Gary's, etc. In addition, the attendence was much better than it currently is. We use to get over 22 people. People enjoyed the auctions and looked forward to the pieces I would put in. Today, it is the same old junk that generates no interest. No wonder the auction and the board are not doing so well. You can thank a few of my "friends" who frequent this board, they sure know how to jazz things up.<LOL>. Best, Jim
