Steve ---- I also use the microwave -- put the chips on a hard, flat surface (like a nice, flat plate) and nuke for 15-30 seconds. Be careful, though:

1 -- The chips get very hot!
2 -- If you nuke 'em for too long, they can melt to the surface they're on.
3 -- I even bubbled a couple before I got it right (they were starting to boil!!)

I'd try it on some not so important chips first.
