Just another idea for you to consider. Do you want a scanner or a digital camera? People who sell items on ebay for example may be better off with a digital camera since it can do 3-D images and items larger than one page. For myself I purchased the least expensive, no name scanner available and have had no complaints. However I am not doing production work or work that requires perfection. I think that my chip scans are as good as any that I have seen.
