I don't think selling/trading promo chips are wrong, although the timing may have been pre-mature. I recently traded a couple of promo centennial chips given away a year ago from a local card room for a 50 cent chip I really wanted, and the other party really wanted the promos. He placed a value of $15 on the 50 cent-er... we both got a great deal.
The Fiesta chip I received by mail from Gene (Thanks again). After they've all been distributed (that's what I mean by timing), I may find a chip that another collector would want to trade for the promo; or I may want to keep it. Who knows...I thought I wanted to keep the other Centennial chips until I found another chip I wanted more.
