Archie...I'm giving you a STANDING OVATION (see posts about a mile down) for the apology. But for us to think that these chips will not be sold or traded for some kind of value in the future is crazy. Many people collect promotional chips. In fact that is the area in which I placed them in my collection. I trade promotional chips from casinos, companies & special events. These chips are given away free. When another collector does not have anything else to trade, I place a value on the chip for purchase. This gives them the option if they really want the chip. True the value of these are basically only in the $1 to $2 range. That's why I like to trade. These chips will be very meaningful to our hobby in the future, they were widely distributed & made available to many of us right on this BB by Gene & others. Maybe the timing was bad but hey sooner or later they are bound to be offered for $ or trades. I had one extra of each & gave them to another collector. I see no reason for the cause of concern. They are just like any other promotional chip.
