Beats me Archie....When John Rauzy had these "medallions" for sale about 3 years ago at the $250 range, I just chuckled with the remark that I used to buy them for under $20 and a year later he was out of stock. So, I called up the old distributor and checked around, only to conclude that they did sell them all except for one box of 100 that was missent to another Hard Rock location and never surfaced back to the LA distributor or another HR sales counter...so there may be a box of blues out there under some HR counter in Moscow or Puckerbrush. Dean Porter and I searched pretty hard to come up with the exhibits 4 colors and it created a demand that I could not fill.
Maybe its the saying "You can't Buy me Love" that makes it collectible. All I know is that I spoke to the die maker and he said the plastic would never be able to flow well into all the cavities and after checking a few of them, he was right...lousy job. Pretty medallion tho" Mel
