Hi Mark; In response to your question; "Just because it looks like a chip, does that make it a chip" is a good one. The answer is probably "yes".... but is not a casino chip. I would call this particular HRC issue an advertising chip.... and there are plenty of them described and illustrated in Dale Seymour's excellent reference book. The FUN organization issued a phone card chip for their convention last year which is very popular with collectors. This weekend, I saw in Bob Mera's 30 day auction a CHIPCO issue from Harley Davidson Las Vegas. Yep, it's an attractive "chip" alright..... no denomination, orange and black, and somone has a bid of $10 on the piece currently. Of course there is the technical argument regarding a "chip" vs. a "cheque". Archie
