I've noticed these markings, and many others on various chips. I haven't done any research on them but I know that some others have done some. For example I know there are several different (5 - 7 I think) documented versions of the $1 Chipco from Luxor.

I've seen all sorts of things on Paulson chips, from words to hats and canes.

I know that Pete Porro had some UV scans somewhere. Maybe they are on his website. You can find a listing for him in my Chip Links area.
