I was lucky, we arrived Wednesay at midnight. I walked over to the cage and picked up 2 chips. I noticed the 1000 on the chip and wanted more.. I took the last 2 I think..
I feel that since this was a club event, Dealers should have declared this one chip sacred and removed from their everyday business dealings. It is us the collector who keeps them in business. They should have offered this chip at face value. Because dealers are dealers and profit is more important than the thrill we get in chip collecting make sure when the time comes to vote for club officials, you vote for a collector rather than a dealer. Lets keep the hobby fun.
The second point. I wanted a table at the show. They were sold out. I feel that everyone who wanted a table should be able to get a table on a first come first serve basis. It is not fair that some people got 3 and 4 and others got none.
The club should offer single tables and if there are tables still available then those who request more can get it by lottery or something like that. This is a club for collectors too.
