Jim,
At Oceans Eleven, which is my hangout, there is at least one pot limit game going, usually 1/2 Hold'em and 1/2 Omaha. at least one $20-$40 hold-em game and a $9-$18 nold-em (more action than a $10-$20.
When hold-em was first introduced in the California card rooms, I finally gave in and went to the $10-$20 and $15-$30 game from playing $15-$30 high draw (with the joker wild) thinking it was the same stakes. Little did I realize at the time the mistake I was making. In any case, I did real well. Wins of $1,000 or more were not unusual. Then, I make the fatal mistake. I started to read the "how-to" poker books. Since I now play either $4-$8 Omaha or hold-em, you can figure out the results.
As I said before,. I'm not trying to make a living at this, just having fun and trying to win enough money to support by other habit's, like collecting chips.
