A general question to those in the know. When I am sitting or standing at the roulette table & the cocktail waitress asks if anyone wants drinks, why is she able to accept a token or a roulette chip as a tip? I have never been handed back either. If I do give her a roulette chip, must she turn this in at the table & ask the dealer what monetary value the chip is being played for? I have left similar tips at the coffee shop & at various buffets. What is the general rule that casinos have, if any, regarding such a practice? If I find the waitress & get the roulette chip back & give her a $1 chip or a $1 bill, is this stealing? Would she be considered an accessory after the fact? Are we all having fun with this thread?
