Due to the nature of chip collecting, trading, and buying & selling I think there is a level of trust that missing under the cloak of anonymity. When you consider all the transactions that are made by people who have never met face-to-face I think you can understand that.

I have had several transactions in which the party didn't even wait for the check to clear before sending the items. I don't believe that this would have been the case had I been hiding behind a pseudonym.
