Thanks, Archie,
I ran into an ex-employee who worked at the casino many years ago that had about 42-pieces. I've since traded one or two and sold all but 10 chips by establishing their value using the comparison approach as to what the "A" Table chips listed in "The Chip Rack" vere valued at.
Knowing that no other lavender chips have surfaced in the last 18-months, I currently still have their sale value at full-book (N9552): $49.00 -- at least for the next few chips, anyway.
The highlight of these chips being in my possession was when I received a letter from a woman whoes father was a very close business (non-casino related) partner and friend of Wilbur Clark requesting a chip for a father's 90th-Birthday.
If that transaction I had with that woman is not an example of what "preserving casino history" is, then I don't know what is. Besides, just having this woman tell me about the times when she was a little girl and her father taking her into the Desert Inn to visit Wilbur Clark, was a thrill in itself.
