I don't know what the current practice is concerning accepting chips from another casino in a live game. When I was a prop in '92, the poker dealers would accept foreign currency, but they'd exchange it for a house chip before putting it into the pot, then they'd deposit the foreign chip into the rake box. The casinos then would redeem them at the casino of origin. This was done as a common courtesy.
