Please re-read Mike Skelton's reply of a few days back in reponse to one of the original posts regarding the Orleans convention chip sell-out. The club had to practically get on our knees and beg for a CC>CC live chip. The casino manager wanted no part of it. It was only through sheer patience, determination and diligence on Mike Skelton's part that he convinced owner Michael Gaughan Jr. to overide his casino manager that we were able to get a "live" chip produced. Coupled with the fact that Paulson's saleman kept confusing the club NCV commemorative chip order with the live $5 chip the casino ordered brought on even more confusion. A small thing like this became an annoyance on some folks part. It's not as easy a task as a lot of people may think.
Now to couple that brief background with proposed mutiple property chips........... Be grateful for what we got. Hopefully, there will be more chips issued at Orleans to go around next year so that everybody who wants one will get one. Aladdin did 2000 live $5 chips and there were plenty left over at the conclusion of the convention. Anybody know what the retail price is on the 1998 CC>CC "live" $5 Orleans chips is lately?
