I, too, tried to stay away from this thread...but, being that we are all correct in our calculations -- the house only allows us that one "straight-up" (or any other combination) wager, and only allows it to us one-spin-at-a-time. Since there are no "accumultive wagers" available to us as to what any other outcome of what the next spin will bring, we are only "spinning our own wheels in our minds" in which the house could care less. It's fun to think of that 17 popping three or four times in a row, but it's still one in thirty-eight -- no matter what. My favotite Roulette wager on the American wheel is the 0-2 split, as the two "spaces" are neighbors on both the layout and wheel. I know of no other two "spaces" that connect on any of the other three wheel/layouts.
