Re: $25.00 Playboy Silver Jubilee chip

Hi John....In checking several auctions and pricelists where the chip has been listed in the last few years, there seems to be a combined average of price realized of approx. $75. If you're able to search past auction catalogs from the club, or those of Gaming Archaeology, you can see this in black and white (and color). I keep stressing that newer collectors read as much as possible about our hobby in order not to be victom of a ripoff. Most chips have a historic recorded history of price fluctuations when searched for within these tools, and that's what I feel is the best possible guide to a chips' value.

Greg...Let us know if your metal inlay is machined or stamped, because there were two vresions -- as there were two different (maybe more) types of the key chains that these were given out in.

Tom...Do you know of any othe variations in the chip?

I've heard that these were legal tender off-shore at the time of issue, but have never actually been told by anyone who has played the chip.

Hope the above was of some help.
John Benedict

P.S. I had the chips on my list several times during the last 9-years, and I don't think it ever sold for more than $75.00
