John Benedict has posted a couple of very good explanations of eBay here today, Bob. You might check out his notes. It's really difficult to run an auction yourself on-line. I've done dozens of them but it takes LOTS of time and effort. EBAY makes it easy and takes a very small bite out of the proceeds. You get exposure to many that don't consider themselves chip collectors as well.

I think the combination of announcing items of particular interest here, together with the mechanics of eBay make a good match.

Thanks for the comment on the scans. I'm really amazed at how well you can picture a chip these days, with very inexpensive hardware.
