Hi Bob; I too appreciate the older tougher obsolete roulettes. Like the Spacequest in Las Vegas, I have several of the Brighton roulettes from Atlantic City... which is now the Sands. No, I did not get any of them directly from the Brighton tables, I've purchased and traded for them from other collectors and dealers over the years. I now have fourteen different. I don't know anyone who has as many. In fact, I just traded for one I didn't have last week while at the national convention from Mr. Roulette, Jerry Birl. I hate to tell you what the value on these are... (three figures). In fact, there is another one presently being offered in Bob Mera's 30 day auction at the Gaming Emporium in A.C. with a minimum bid of $200. Think I'll call Bob in the morning and start it off at the minimum (no, it's not my consignment). I have no idea who the consignor is... or whom the person was who originally got the chip off the table many years ago. But whomever it was, I thank him/her for making it available today and for "preserving gaming history". Funny, isn't it, how some of these early Vegas roulettes from the Dunes with the sultan and harem girl on them bring such high prices at auction and they are considered respected classics that represent "gaming history" ... while today's roulettes are taken so much for granted..... 'till they are no longer available, like SpaceQuest... and now so many dealers and collectors are clamoring for them. Amazing!.
