As I become more involved in this "hobby" I can't help but feel that what happened in the baseball card mania is beginning to happen to chippers. What should have been the real price to sell a chip to someone without many chips to trade became what the market will bare! As I surf the many commercial and individual sites of those in this "hobby" I am amazed to find the people who will cut your heart out to make a buck are here also!!!! So I ask "what is the real price or value of a chip?" I get the value in "Chip Rack!" Right!!!! It's loke saying the value of a baseball card is the value in Beckett's. I would hope that those of us in this hobby will attempt to avoid the drive to make money from allowing us to take advantage of others. While I don't hold against anyone to try and make a buck, heaven knows I like to make those too. I have to wonder if we aren't headed the way of the baseball card market and hobby! I guess what the market will bring is the real price in any market. To those who are out there selling at a price that will make them some but allow a fair price buy, I commend you. There are many of you in the hobby who I have met who are true collectors.
