The third and final chip of the 3-chip Milton Berle set was released today at the
Sands in Atlantic City. Collectors were lined up at the Big Wheel games on
both the first and second levels of the casino, and the chips were sold out in
approximately a half hour.
With many limited edition chips never actually seeing table play, I took one of
the Berle chips to bet at a blackjack table. I might have expected them to tell
me I could not bet the chip, causing me to raise many questions, but that was not the case. The dealer paused to look at it, and then continued on as usual.
It must have been my lucky chip, because I could not lose it !! I won 5 straight hands with the chip in the bet spot, and with adding a couple red chips on top
of Mr.Berle after each win, it turned out to be a very lucky chip. I quit playing
after that 5th hand, so I never did lose that chip.
