Bob, Last year they sold them for face, including the holder. The numbers were very limited. This year they may well offer them at $90. If they do, they won't sell out. If they don't sell out, the price will not rise in the after market. Therefore it will not be an investment chip. As a collector I would consider one set, but no more. But as a collector I might just end my collection of Colorado Indian Casino chips, and I wouldn't be the only one.
Ty is the manufacturer of the Beanie Babies. If Ty decides they want the profits of the after market and raises the price then they would kill the market entirely. This is not to advocate collecting Beanie Babies.
I would prefer that the casinos not kill chip collecting.
