THE LODGE A HEARING IN FRONT OF GAMING

Hi Gene,

Surprise! George Turner has returned my message. He is giving me
the opportunity to go to Central City, CO (as per the message) to
represent the hobby. Actually, this is open to anybody in a 15 minute
time slot. I'm not sure, but I think this a general time slot for any
issue not particularly ours. I can't go to this meeting because I am
supposed to be doing open student advising on campus. We only have 4
qualified faculty for a 10 hour stretch that day. It seems apparent that
"The Lodge" will be represented. At least we won that much and it would
be face to face.

I suggest that the Colorado Chapter of the CC&GTCC be contacted
and representative be dispatched. George Turner should be notified of the
person to attend and address the issue of "The Lodge". I don't know
anyone up there to ask. They are 110 miles closer than I am.

Okay, we have our in! Sorry that all these message are strung
together like sausages. The hobby has a chance.

Following is the answer George Turner sent to Douglas Knight. I am posting 2 other messages from doug. We need a couple of Colorado Chippers to make this meeting and express our case. Doug can not go due to his job duties.

I received your email. I have asked for anyone involved in this issue to
come before the Commission if they wished and as of today I have no
takers. The next Commission meeting is this Friday at the Teller House
in Central City. We have allowed 15 minutes, 9A.M. to 9 .15 A.M. for
public to be heard so if you are interested now is the time. Just let me
know.

DOUG'S ANSWER TO TURNER

Dear Director Turner,

I finally got the "Director" title straight after reviewing the
Commission's web page. Thank you very much for your reply and the
opportunity to represent the chip collecting hobby. I am asking Gene
Trimble to resolve this problem. Please keep the time open. The Denver
area has an active Chapter of the CC&GTCC and hopefully they will send a
representative in my place. I can't attend because I am a Professor at
the University of So. Colorado and have an all day open advisement session
to work. The students are more important to me than anything except
family.

Jokingly aside, if I go to beautiful Central City, after I beseech
the Commissioners I would no doubt spend my hard earned money on new
chips.

Someone should confirm this. If I learn who, I will tell you.

Sincerely,

Douglas (Doug) W. Knight
