I sell chips so that I can afford to collect them. I haven't been involved in this hobby very long so I must either trade obsolete for obsolete, current for current or buy it. I will trade current chips at face for any chips from areas that I collect and some that I don't. If there is ANY chip dealer that doesn't have a collection that they won't trade, sell or in any other way dispose of, I'd like to meet him or her, and I include in the description of disposal the passing on the collection to heirs. The only situation that I've seen total liquidation offers have been the result of a personal, usually medical calamity. While there are collectors that don't sell chips, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a dealer who doesn't also fit the description of a legitimate collector.
