OUR CLUB NAME? This name came about 10 years ago from a core group of individuals that met in Cincinanti Ohio. They decide at that time that they would like to get together at least once a year to pursue a new hobby of chip & token collecting. This group of COLLECTORS (both individuals & dealers) decided
to form this club with the intent of providing better insight into helping each other enjoy this new found hobby. Through the ear4ly years everyone wrote, called, met, traded, sold and just had FUN. We had an annual meeting for the first 5 years at the ANA yearly convention. We met and grew each year. The club became a Tax-exempt organization to allow us to provide more help to each new COLLECTOR through meetings, seminars, groups getting together, and finally chapters on a local level. As we grew, the hobby has expanded to collecting almost anything Casino related, chips, tokens, dice, ashtrays, postcards, matchcovers,etc., etc. But the bottom line is we are still a group of COLLECTORS (again both individuals & dealers) getting together to enjoy themselves and have fun.

I see no reason to change the Clubs name to suit the whims of a few people who seem to feel the commodity is more important than the individual.
DON'T let this happen.

Over the next 6 months YOU the membership will have to make a choice on who you want to run this club and I, for one, want to see someone elected who has the COLLECTOR membership at heart. I also am very biased and want to see you the membership nominate and elect DAVID SARLES for president and my wife JANICE O'NEAL for vice president. They as a team, And with anyone else who feel as we do, will keep this hobby as it was intended a FUN FILLED & ENJOYABLE experience.

I feel David can provide the forceful leadership that will be necessary to keep this great hobby expanding. He is a family man 44 years old and owns 2 businesses and 6 franchises. He has the savvy and knowledge of running a company, but in the end is still the COLLECTOR first. He will strive to get all walks of life interested in collecting, not just a select group. He will get more people involved in the club and how it is run, but I gaurantee you he will still keep us having FUN.

My wife Janice looks forward to being re-elected as vice president with
David Sarles being elected president. She has dedicated 10 years of her life to this hobby through her columns in the club magazine, Articles in private publications, newspaper articles, continuous updated lists of chip & token release, and many, many personal letters to individuals answering their questions. The driving force that keeps her going is the personal satisfaction in knowing she has helped someone enjoy what they are collecting. I hope you as the membership can see that you have a choice on the direction this hobby and club will go, and nominate and ELECT DAVID SARLES & JANICE O'NEAL.
