You are wrong on a number of points with the advice you gave to Chippy. Please allow me to elaborate.
1. Some boats have sails & no motor.
2. The Dixie Duck cost much more than $10. I think they spent at least $12.50 for it & then a few more bucks to have it refurbished.
3. Yes, you do gamble on board each of them. With all the trips that I have made I have won a grand total of $6.95 in only 3 or 4 years. This, of course, does not include the cost of gas, wear & tear on my VW Beetle, or food money. I only play the nickel slots so my money lasts a lot longer. I hit a jackpot a few weeks ago that paid me 1,000 nickels. Boy was I thrilled!!!!!!!!
4. The boat that sank trying to out run the hurricane, was a myth. The story was created by the right-wing press to show the evils of gambling & deter voters in Florida from approving full Las Vegas style gaming in the state.
