I will agree with most of the advice your were given here. Any open trading on the show floor should be conducted with the dealers who have paid for the tables (and for the majority of the show costs).
As for the advice of "taking it outside" the show floor, neither the hotel or the Club, wants to see, dozens or hundreds of people flopped down on the floor in the hallways in the convention area trading chips.
The hotel has made it clear that they will not tolerate this. The advice of the bar, coffe shop, lounge or private rooms have always been good places for this. The scheduled trading sessions and private trading
sessions that go on all week should provide plenty of opportunity to trade. As for an earlier post of
a trading session on Thursday night after the Club business meeting, I have no idea who started this rumor. There is NO trading session scheduled, by the Club, on Thursday nite!
We always welcome "first timers" to the show, because at some point, we all were first timers! I hope you enjoy the show and look me at the convention, and I will be glad to assist you in anyway I can.
