Woody, I've seen examples of the Gilpin chip that I have that still have vivid graphics, so I suspect the reason for the fading is the result of exposure to light.....any light, sunlighht or artificial light. Any chip will fade some when exposed to any form of light (sunlight will bleach them quicker), but the bad resin Chipcos appear to have been very easily faded by artificial light. While I'd call the resin an error, I wouldn't call the chips error chips.
