Reliable sources tell me that Paulson normally will notch 10 to 15 chips. 1 for gaming and the remainder for salesmen samples.
Chipco normally does 25 for the same reasons.
Just a thought, but what is more valuable 1 of 15 or 1 of 1,000 and up? In the case of rack chips there would be many more. I am not saying they are worth more but it does have me thinking.
Another little quirk in Notched chips. The pretty lady Main Street Station chips were numbered from 1 to 1,000. I have a notched pretty lady 4 that is numbered 1,013. I would not trade it for an un-notched one. Which one is more valuable?
Also have Dale Earnheart - Limited 1997 edition - Racing Action Classic Commemorative. 39MM with inserts. Not a casino chip, looks like it might have been made for sale at a race track. Am trying to get more information on it.
Hoping somebody out there knows about it.
