I've received a couple of other questionsl from persons interested in subscribing to CASINO so I'll repost the information I passed on to them.

1) To subscribe send a message to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU
2) Leave the Subject & copy boxes blank. Should you get an "error" message because your server thinks you have to put a subject in that box, ignore it or click it off and continue.
3) In the MESSAGE BOX on ONE line with ONE space between each word put

SUB CASINO YOUR NAME

If you have a "signature" you should temporarily disable it--otherwise my robot will send you a acknowledgement that you are subscribed only to follow it with a series of ERRORS as it tries to read your signature. My robot aint too smart.
You will still get subscribed but rudely.

4) You post messages to CASINO@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU
5) I don't know about your server, but mine does not send my own messages back to me. It assumes that I am bright enough to have kept my "copy self" button clicked.
