Paul Sax -
I was at Hollywood Park on Sunday also. I was the guy with the red boxes all lined up in a row. It was my first time bringing chips to trade/sell. In fact, I joined the SoCal chapter that very day and paid my first fee for table space.
I had so many chips there because I am trying to get rid of chips instead of accumulate more (of that kind). I sold some chips and I traded for some. Since most of the chips I want to get rid of are valued less than those I seek, I traded many more chips than I received. That's that value system others have been talking about. It is the only fair way to go once you get beyond the beginning of your collection.
I met your wife and Yorkies (very cute); but can't say that we met. I do remember responding to an email inquiry from you. I hope you don't get turned off to this great hobby. It gives me much pleasure all the time.
