An article in our local paper yesterday said that the Oneidas had voted to apply for a liquor license for their casino. I think this was the only Indian resort casino in the country w/o liquor. As their leader, Halbritter [and my law teaching colleague], said in essence, they could not run a true resort without providing alcoholic beverages. He also said that public opinion favored it [I dropped in that request each time I visited]--no, I'm not a lush but enjoy wine with supper. I was actually pleased to play in a place where they served only non-alcoholic drinks.
