Chuck, I'm sure you can get an answer from the Nevada collectors, but I have gotten a number of silver strike tokens on Florida ships directly from the cage by paying the $10 or $12. If I do happen to be playing the machine & I get a duplicate token, I will go to the cage & ask for a different one that I don't have. This may only apply to certain ships & casinos. I have also "bought" these tokens from others who win a few & want to trade them in. Some of these folks may play for a hour or so, spend $40 & win 2 tokens. They walk away losers from the machine & are happy to get the cash whithout thinking how much each token really cost them. They would get the same cash at the cage so I don't feel like they are getting ripped off by me. I really would like to get other opinions, policies & thoughts on this matter. I'm sure that there are many casinos that want you to play the machine, as this is their "bread & butter."
