Hi Paul; Hey, no apology is necessary. You merely reported on your experiences at a local show, as an unifoirmed novice who was intimidated by the activity. You now know differently.... and hopefully so do some of the dealers.
Sometimes we all take for granted that everyone knows what transpires at these shows. It's a good lesson for dealers to be reminded that many times there are first timers such as yourself who attend theses events. My daddy used to tell me, "son, if you want to learn how to shoot pool, be prepared to buy a few rounds of beers". Paul; you just bought your first round.<g> I hope that your experience will not sour you on attending other shows.... especially the National Convention in Vegas in future years. As for trading on the net.... there is nothing wrong with that. Many good deals are gotten via on-line trades. I prefer the live action and excitement and activites, both social and hobby related, that a large show such as the CC>CC Conventions provide, where I can meet face to face with some of the people with whom I've exchanged pleasantries on the BB's and in snail-mail correspondence. Good luck Paul, no matter which method you choose to pursue your hobby goals. Regards, Archie
